Overview

Georgia is a country emerged as an independent state in 1991 from the collapsing Soviet Union. Situated strategically where Europe meets Asia, Georgia has a unique, rich and ancient cultural heritage. Georgia is also known for its famous traditions of hospitality and cuisine. It is scientifically known as the first human civilization outside of Africa, supposed to be 1.75 million years old. The Tushetian village Bochorna and Svanetian commune Ushguli in Georgia are the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe. A good Georgia tour package will cover the Botanical Gardens, Heritage Sights, and Ski Resorts. You should also experience the traditional winemaking of Georgia which has been practiced for over 8000 years.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

What To Expect

Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi: Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport and check in to your hotel.

Explore Tbilisi

  • Old Town (Altstadt): Stroll through Tbilisi’s picturesque Old Town, admire the colorful houses, narrow alleys, and cobblestone streets
  • Narikala Fortress: Take a cable car or hike up to the fortress for panoramic views of Tbilisi.
  • Sulfur Baths: Visit the famous sulfur baths in Abanotubani and enjoy a relaxing soak (optional).
  • Tbilisi’s Holy Trinity Cathedral: The largest cathedral in Georgia, offering incredible views of the city.

Evening: Enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner at a local restaurant, sampling khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) and khorovats (barbecue).

Day 2

Tbilisi to Mtskheta & Uplistsikhe

Morning:

    >Mtskheta: Take a short trip to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia (around 20 km from Tbilisi). Visit Jvari Monastery for stunning views and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Afternoon:

  • Uplistsikhe Cave Town: Explore the ancient rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe, a fascinating site with caves, temples, and ancient structures carved into the cliffside.

Evening:

Return to Tbilisi. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, perhaps trying some of Georgia’s famous wines.

Day 3

Tbilisi to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)

Morning:

  • Drive to Kazbegi: Depart early for a scenic drive along the Georgian Military Highway (approx. 3-4 hours), passing stunning landscapes and medieval castles.

Afternoon:

  • Gergeti Trinity Church: Hike or drive up to Gergeti Trinity Church, situated at the foot of Mount Kazbegi. The views of the mountain and surrounding valleys are breathtaking.
    Kazbegi Village: Explore the village and surrounding nature.
  • Kazbegi Village: Explore the village and surrounding nature.

Evening:

Stay overnight in Kazbegi or a nearby village. Enjoy a cozy mountain dinner.

Day 4

Kazbegi to Batumi

Morning:

After breakfast, drive from Kazbegi to Batumi (about 6-7 hours). This will be a long drive, but you’ll be rewarded with views of diverse landscapes along the way.

Afternoon:

  • Batumi Boulevard: Upon arrival in Batumi, take a walk along the famous Batumi Boulevard, a seaside promenade with modern sculptures, fountains, and lush gardens.
  • Batumi Botanical Garden: Visit the Batumi Botanical Garden, which offers beautiful views of the Black Sea and a wide variety of plant species.

Evening:

Enjoy Batumi’s vibrant nightlife and dine on fresh seafood along the coast.

Day 5

Batumi & Return to Tbilisi

Morning:

  • Batumi Old Town: Explore Batumi’s charming old town, with its mix of architectural styles, including Italian, Turkish, and Georgian influences.
  • Batumi Piazza: A beautiful square surrounded by cafes and shops, perfect for relaxing.

Afternoon:

  • Drive back to Tbilisi: Start your return journey to Tbilisi (about 5-6 hours).

Evening:

Arrive in Tbilisi, where you can enjoy a final dinner before departure.
