Overview Kazakhstan is the largest country in Central Asia and the ninth-largest in the world. It is a land of vast steppes, mountains, and deserts, with a history that spans centuries. Kazakhstan is a mix of ancient traditions, Soviet-era heritage, and modern developments, offering a fascinating blend of landscapes and culture.
The country’s capital is Nur-Sultan (formerly known as Astana), a futuristic city known for its striking architecture, but Almaty, the former capital, is still the cultural and economic hub of Kazakhstan.
